DiscoveringDiversityManitoba

Manitoba K-12 students are invited to be part of a collaborative mapping project using ArcGIS Online and the Collector for ArcGIS app. Through this project, students will discover or uncover the diverse qualities and characteristics of their communities’ landmarks.

Your students will:

  • Choose a significant landmark(s) in your community.
  • Research the landmark(s).
  • Using the Collector for ArcGIS app, pin the information to a waypoint (location) on the “Collaborative Map” of Manitoba.

If you and your students would like to participate:

Three one-day professional learning opportunities will be offered for registered teachers on: September 20, October 13 and November 8 at 1567 Dublin Ave, Winnipeg.  Please click one of the dates to save your spot. Workshop fees are covered by Manitoba Education. All other fees, including transportation, lunch and substitute, are the responsibility of the teacher.
